Prepare, add, or remove elements to adapt the complexity of this activity to suit learners of varying levels.

Consider how the 4-session structure of this project suits your situation, and how you might follow, extend, or abridge this format.

About Activity

This project provides beginners level introduction to programming in Scratch, guiding ākonga to create their own bilingual chatbots over four sessions that each focus on important skills in computational thinking as well as designing and developing digital outcomes.

Students will build a program from start to finish, using the opportunity to encounter, investigate, and apply a range of essential skills. The outcome is an interactive chatbot program that can respond using English and te reo Māori.
