Experiment with incorporating the key colour to obscure parts of primary subjects.

About Activity

This activity covers the green screen effect used in video editing, where a solid colour background is removed to superimpose subjects onto a selected background.

Connect with New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) and celebrate NZSL Week by taking on the Six60 ‘Pepeha’ in NZSL challenge, and use the green screen technique to get creative with a new background.

Learners will practise a host of NZSL vocabulary to sign-sing the Six60 song, then design and develop digital outcomes by filming in front of a green screen and manipulating footage in video editing.
