This lesson introduces the Electric Garden unit to develop an understanding of hardware, to get the unit up and running, and get your learners set up to use the online learning platform. Your learners will examine the Electric Garden up close and in detail, unboxing the device, examining the probes, revealing the circuit board inside, and considering along the way the role and function of each component.

If your EG unit is already set up, you can still use this opportunity to guide your learners to evaluate their setup, learn more about the device, and perfect the design and installation of their shelter.
