This session introduces the concept of growth rate for understanding the progress of our plants, circumference as an important biometric for evaluating our pumpkin fruit, and pruning as a way to encourage the productivity of our plants. We will gather information to calculate growth rate, measure our pumpkins to select for the biggest, and decide which parts of our plants to cut away to boost our chances in the grow competition.
