Session 8 - Getting Ready for Summer

This session introduces sorting algorithms to try thinking like a computer to organise information. We will use a sorting network to arrange plants by measurement and essential tasks by importance, in order to help prepare for the summer growing season. We will also consider the stability of our sunflowers as they grow, devise a system to support them, and implement that system to ensure they remain sturdy and secure while we’re away.

Below, access the Teacher Support Document for a lesson overview and detailed slide notes, navigate the session content via the Google Slide Deck, and access important additional resources in the Supplemental Materials section. Kia ngahau!
