About Activity

This extension theme pairs with the Digital Storybooks template activity to focus the programming activity on myths, legends and other stories related to the culture and traditions of Diwali.

Digital stories bring together skills in research, literacy and oratory, critical thinking, communication and more to organise ideas and manage digital content in the production of a multimedia project that helps share information as imaginative, impactful narratives.

Follow the template activity guide along with the Diwali extension guide to consider elements of a story, choose a story to retell or craft an original, plan the details and flow of the story, then bring the story to life by painting and programming in ScratchJr.

Use this extension guide together with the Digital Storybooks template project activity guide.
